Black Panther Has Arrived!!

“WAKANDA FOREVER!”

I cannot express how amazing the MCU’s Black Panther movie was but with an opening week of over $400million, i guess you can say it’s been extremely well received. I will be bringing my SPOILER review soon but all i can say is that it has become a legend of the film industry for more than just a Superhero film.

So much depth, great character moments from EVERYONE! the support cast was beyond phenomenal. It brought to life the power and cultures associated with Africa with stunning colours, sounds of the motherland and the people cast in each role. It was a historical day for many and touched on so many things.

Overall rating: 9.5/10 a must see for film and superhero fans alike.

In just a few days the “King of Wakanda” will be making his much anticipated Screen debut for the Marvel Franchise.

Black Panther, is set to be one of (if not the biggest) Marvel studios film to date to project an opening weekend of $300M+ with over 10,000 sell out pre sale tickets Nationwide in the US there is no wonder film and comic fans are hyping this to be the best movie this year.

Here in New Zealand we get an early taste of this Wednesday Night (Feb 14th) and what better way to celebrate Valentines day then to cuddle up with your loved one ( or other options like by yourself or  with your friends if you choose etc ) if it’s so possible.

There is a lot of lore involved with this character and i would need a whole blog dedicated just to him let alone all of his great interactions in the Marvel world both comic and film. so what can i say about this movie so far? firstly, great casting with the likes of Andy Serkis, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o and of course the one and only Chadwick Boseman.

Next thing i would love to discuss is the visuals. Oh how i love the colour palette and choices used for this movie which do tie in with many african cultures, history and  traditions and as the signs of royalty (colours like gold and purple for example.) Costume design is a very key element to a movie and Marvel took no short cuts (according to trailers) in making everything look as close to authentic as possible within a fiction based setting. The visual effects are stunning and is what we as fans expected Marvel Studios to bring to the table especially with hits like Spiderman: Homecoming, The Avengers, Iron Man and so on.

To pair with the beauty of the scenes is the amazing soundtrack. I have just immersed myself in my Spotify list and I am in awe. Deeply rooted in modern American hip hop it also has depths with soul and blues tunes with a powerful message based in its natural history.

So, this is for now, my take on Black Panther. I will be viewing this film a few times before my next blog so please come back in a few days. Both a Spoiler and non spoiler Post will be up soon. Take care and peace.
